The photographer i chose for the virtual essay is Robert ParkeHarrison. Robert is a photographer that is best known for his work in the fine art photography with his wife Shana ParkeHarrison. Their works have been displayed in 18 solo exhibitions and over 30 group shows worldwide, also it can be found in over 20 collections. Many of his photographs included a man with a black suit in a natural backgrounds like a grass fields that is trying to fix the field with little implements and crazy ideas. The main purpose of these is to create a surreal feel that express the major issues for nowadays “global warming”, and how we are going to recover the issues that was caused by ourselves.
There is a European photographer name Sarolta Bán who i find that her photography are similar to Robert ParkeHarrison. Both of their photography have a relations to the nature and the tree, however the main purpose of Sarolta is to combine ordinary elements as she said “I like using ordinary elements and by combining them, I can give them various stories, personalities. I hope that the meanings of my pictures are never too limited, are open in some way, each viewer can transform them into a personal aspect. So I’m happy if different people find different meanings in my images.” and Robert’s main focus on surreal imagination.
“surreal imagination and an impeccable sense of wit and irony, to address issues about the earth and mankind's responsibility to heal the damage he has done to its landscape.”- Robert Parke Harrison

From the pictures above you can see that both of their works are very similar, both of them have a man in a suits, tree and birds are carrying a object or human. It remind us of our affect on nature, whatever it is the marks that we leave on the earth.
“My photographs tell stories of loss, human struggle, and personal exploration within landscapes scarred by technology and over-use…. [I] strive to metaphorically and poetically link laborious actions, idiosyncratic rituals and strangely crude machines into tales about our modern experience.” - Rebert ParkHarrison
