Press photography is synonymous with Photojournalism, which is like a news photography. Press photography are using series of photographs to record news, events and even to our life stories. The press refers to the printing press used to produce a newspaper. The main mission of press photography is to capture the photo that involved with emotions in the event where the readers can see and feel what is like to be there. And those pictures then will be reproduced in the newspaper or magazines.

Art photography is a photographs that are created by an artist, where the artist using their creative vision as a photographer. Art photography give the freedom to photographer to capture any photographs can they can expressive in the way that they want want, their main goal is to capture an photo that represents an interpretation of the subject.

Similarities between Art and Press.
- Both styles need to capture an photo to tell a story.
- Both of them talk to people and express the purpose through photo.
Differences
- It is possible to edit and alter afterward the image being capture as a art photography.
- Press photography can not change anything after the shoot.
- Press photography can be presented without any explanation.
I think it is ethical and acceptable to alter art photographs. It is acceptable because most of the art photographer consider themselves as an artists, and most of the artists need to edit or fix their work before they publish to the public, because artists want to make their work to express the meaning that they wanted to express. Also art photographs is one part of art, where they need to be touched by the artist to put on their creative into the picture. There i think it is ethical and acceptable to alter art photographs. But on the other hand, i do not think it is ethical and acceptable to alter press photographs because press photographs are publish to the public to tell the true story of the image, which you can not have any unreal element in the photo, otherwise people will misunderstand what is the true expression that the press photo trying to express. Therefore, i do not think it is ethical and acceptable to alter press photographs.
